In the summer of 1981, Sifu Garreth Warren began studying the art of Sil-Lum Hung-Gar Kung-Fu with Masters Bun & Kin Hong at the Hong Kung-Fu Club in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. On February 28th, 1991 Sifu Garreth Warren received his Black Sash and became a student instructor under the watchful eyes of Masters Bun & Kin Hong. October of 1996 marked Sifu Garreth Warren's move to Halifax, Nova Scotia,Canada, where he opened the school Traditional Kung-Fu Self-Defense & began to teach the art of Sil-Lum Hung-Gar Kung-Fu to those men, women & children that are interested in learning this traditional martial arts called Hung-Gar Kung-Fu. On October 30th, 2003 Traditional Kung Fu was changed to Five Animal Kung Fu. On March 1st, 1999 Sifu Warren created F.I.T. (F)inally (I)'m (T)oned a non-impact, total body workout using movements of Kung Fu and began giving classes at his studio. 2002 Sifu Warren produced his first F.I.T. Video with students Mary Jean, Virginia, William, Richard and Anais Guimond co-host of Caribbean Workout.

In 2003, Sifu Warren produced his second F.I.T. Video and DVD. Sifu Warren has made several appearances on Breakfast Television to demonstrate his Kung Fu, F.I.T. & his Video. Sifu Warren and his students have have done many demonstrations around Halifax.

It is Sifu Garreth Warren's intention to train you to become a complete martial artist. This means building a solid foundation through the process of stance training, breathing exercises, basic punches, strikes, blocks & kicks. Once this has been accomplished, you will then be prepared to perform the techniques that you will learn at Hung-Gar Kung-Fu / Self-Defense.
